ELDER CLIMATE ACTIVISM - TRAPPED BY THE SYSTEM.
Monday, April 15, 2024: 4 pm to 5:30 pm Pacific; 7 pm to 8:30 pm Eastern.
This is a 90 minute workshop for elder climate activists. To encourage participant involvement, the workshop will not be recorded. Admission is free.
Each session will address a different issue of importance for elder climate activists. Depending on the number of participatns, breakout rooms may be utilized.

Discussion.
Integration wrap up.
Q & A for as long as necessary following the 90 minute program.
This month's Presentation is: Trapped by the System. Many elder climate activists feel trapped by the “System” (“Thing,” “Matrix,” “Re-Presentation,” “Monster”), confined to an environment that forces us to participate in the carbon culture, while frightened of the uncertainties of leaving. This conversation discusses different approaches to theories of systemic oppression, and then asks: What fears and challenges does the System force upon elder activists? How do we resist burnout, and continue our activism in a manner that supports our individuality and unique abilities?
The presentation portion of the conversation will change for each new session. We hold monthly conversations on the third Monday of the month.
