This month's Presentation: Climate Collapse and Human Perception. Why do we Humans have such difficulty understanding and taking action on our accelerating ecological and climate collapse. In our May 20th Elder Climate Activism workshop and conversation, we'll discuss how the limits and constraints of modern human perception blinds us to the causes, nature and potential responses and adaptations needed to confront our existential climate predicament. We'll consider the primary causes and consequences, and discuss questions that include: Why is it so difficult to understand this? Why can't people see what I see? Why are people so unresponsive or emotionally closed off? Why do our leaders who have the very best information simply ignore it? How can we "wake people up" and inspire them to take action?
The presentation portion of the conversation will change for each new session. We hold monthly conversations on the third Monday of the month.
